IT STARTED WITH A CRAVING

In 2018, our founder SA couldn't find a burger that tasted like the ones his grandfather used to make at backyard barbecues. The fast-food chains were too processed, and the gourmet restaurants were too fussy.

He wanted something simple, honest, and delicious. So he opened the first Burger Daddy in a small renovated garage downtown Ottawa, with a simple mission: serve the best possible burger at a fair price.

THE PERFECT SMASH

We spent months perfecting our technique. We discovered that smashing a cold ball of ground beef onto a screaming hot griddle creates a caramelized crust that seals in the juices like nothing else.

Combined with our secret house seasoning and freshly baked brioche buns, we knew we had something special. The lines started forming around the block, and they haven't stopped since.
